A four week block in advanced screen acting with Chris Sommers.
This class will allow you to explore a variety of tools that are required in your on camera journey as a working actor.
This includes: The self tape, the single camera set up vs 2 camera shoot, scene study, genre and television guest roles / the series regular.
Places are limited to 15 actors due to the nature of the class workload.
Not for beginner actors. Please submit a link to previous work on application.
About Chris
Christopher is an established award winning actor of the stage and screen, he has 20 years professional acting experience, his theatre experience has seen him performing nationally and internationally. He can be currently be seen in the AACTA Nominated and Logie nominated Tv Series The Barrumbi Kids (Nitv). In limbo (ABC), Upright Season 2, US Series Sweet Tooth (Netflix),The Award winning The Bureau of Magical Things Season 1 (Netflix) and Season 2, The End (Foxtel), and in recent films: Elvis (Directed by Baz Luhrman), Jim Henson Company’s The Portable Door Danger Close: The Battle of Long Tan (2019). He has also appeared in the Audible audio book Sun Shadow for Hoodlum
Previous films include:
The Water Diviner (Directed by Russell Crowe), Australia Day, Predestination, Drive Hard, Bullets for the Dead, The Fear of Darkness, Jucy, Unfinished Sky and The Horseman. He has appeared on many Television shows including: Secret City S2 (Netflix), Harrow (Abc,), Wanted (Netflix), Hunters (syfy),Texas Rising (history channel) Mako Mermaids and Sea Patrol.
He has trained with leading acting coaches Kristof Konrad, Jean Louis Rodrigue, Risa Bramon Garcia, Steve Braun BGB Studios, Ivana Chubbuck, Larry Moss, Elizabeth Kemp, Patsy Rodenburg, Cicely Berry, Scott Williams and Ellen Burstyn.
Christopher has experience as an acting coach also coaching clients on TV shows, short films and on set as a coach in Pacific Rim 2: Uprising with rising star Cailee Spaeny (Priscilla, Alien Romulus).
He is the Director of F-Actor-y Acting studio in Milton, Brisbane

Imperfect Creatives offer tailored payment plans for every creative.
Imperfect Creatives’ facilitators and artists are working professionals and classes may need to be rescheduled due to other work. You will receive as much notice as we’re able to give.
A 10% deposit is required to be paid before the start date of a course to secure your spot. We do not offer refunds or credits on deposits paid.
Cancellations are accepted up to 72 hours before the start date of a course. You will receive a credit of the fees paid to be used towards future classes. If cancellations are made within 72 hours before the start date of a course, you will be required to pay the course in full and will not be credited.
In the event of missing classes, we cannot reimburse fees paid, but will endeavor to find a replacement if it suits. Please note: this may not always be possible.
Our payment plans are tailored to each person. If you fail to attend classes, these payments will still need to be paid in full. If you are struggling financially, please email accounts@imperfectcreatives.com to adjust your payment plan.
Overdue invoices will incur a 1.5% fee per day overdue. If reasonably communicated, we can extend due dates and remove fees
