Immersion is a holistic preparation approach to immerse yourself in the psychological and physical world of the character. Based on science, Immersion is an advanced psychological approach that prepares the actor for the peak performance state in screen acting. Immersion uses the law of attraction theory to bring the role closer to you.

During Immersion you will learn Kylie’s 3 core pillars of preparation:

These pillars of preparation are based on Kylie’s research findings and the elements required to produce an authentic and watchable self-tape in contemporary casting.

In this one-day workshop, actors will learn and apply the 3 pillars of preparation through scene work. Immersion will provide actors with a deep and visceral approach to living cognitively and physically as their character.

About Kylie:
Dr Kylie Loveday is an actress, voice over artist, and singer, having studied acting at the prestigious National Institute of Dramatic Arts in Sydney. Kylie is so passionate about the authenticity of screen acting performance she further studied human behaviour and performance by undertaking an Honours Degree in Psychology and PhD in Performance Psychology.

Kylie made her career debut on children’s television shows including ‘Mako Island’ and ‘The Bureau of Magical Things’. Later, she landed a series regular as a fitness obsessed purple alien, ‘Narcibelle’, on the Disney animation series, ‘Space Chickens in Space’. Most recently Kylie guest starred on the Netflix series, ‘Boy Swallows Universe’, working opposite Phoebe Tonkin, the Jaggi Entertainment Rom Com, ‘One Perfect Match’, the Screen Queensland Feature Film, ‘Audrey’, and The Fantasy Sci-Fi Pilot, ‘Forsworn’. Kylie has taught Drama, Presenting, Positive Psychology, and Quantitative Statistics at Griffith University and Wollongong University. Kylie has also taught acting at institutions including TAFTA, Dynamite Studios, and Evolution Management. Kylie’s pioneering contributions to the science of performance have been recognised and published in academic journals and the Media, Entertainment, & Arts Magazine. Finally, Kylie co-founded and teaches for the evidence-based acting company called Creating Artists.

We strive to make high quality content and training accessible for all artists.

Imperfect Creatives offer tailored payment plans for every creative.

Imperfect Creatives’ facilitators and artists are working professionals and classes may need to be rescheduled due to other work. You will receive as much notice as we’re able to give.

A 10% deposit is required to be paid before the start date of a course to secure your spot.

Cancellations are accepted up to 72 hours before the start date of a course. You will receive a credit of the fees paid to be used towards future classes. If cancellations are made within 72 hours before the start date of a course, you will be required to pay the course in full and will not be credited.

In the event of missing classes, we cannot reimburse fees paid, but will endeavor to find a replacement if it suits. Please note: this may not always be possible.

Our payment plans are tailored to each person. If you fail to attend classes, these payments will still need to be paid in full. If you are struggling financially, please email accounts@imperfectcreatives.com to adjust your payment plan.

Overdue invoices will incur a 1.5% fee per day overdue. If reasonably communicated, we can extend due dates and remove fees
